Early Childhood Assistant Ajax

Become an Early Childhood Assistant with the Town of Ajax, supporting preschool programs with fun and educational activities. This role promotes safe, engaging environments for young children.

In this part-time role, you will work under the guidance of the Preschool Instructor to provide diverse activities suitable for preschoolers.

Your role includes ensuring safety, promoting respectful behavior, and maintaining open communication with parents and staff. Strong time management and organization skills are vital to succeed in this enriching environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing quality preschool activities and events

• Promote individual development in a safe atmosphere

• Maintain communication with parents and community coordinators

• Monitor access to facilities during program hours

• Address customer inquiries and manage feedback forms

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 high school diploma

• At least one year of experience in recreation delivery

• Experience with preschool children preferred

• Must possess First Aid and CPR C certification

• Clear vulnerable sector check required
