Position: Junior School Counsellor for Emotional Support
Location: Victoria

Empower young learners as a Junior School Counsellor from Kindergarten to Grade 5. You will lead social-emotional programs, offering crucial support both individually and in groups.

This position requires a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in emotional learning or educational psychology. Collaborate with faculty and learning support teams to champion students’ social-emotional well-being. You will create interventions that enhance wellness, reinforcing positive learning environments. As an advocate for students, maintain communication with families and staff, while practicing professionalism through continuous development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead social-emotional learning programming in classrooms

• Provide one-on-one and group support to students

• Manage ongoing social-emotional cases for students and families

• Liaise effectively with teachers, families, and administration

• Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in relevant fields

• Prior experience in school counselling

• Understanding of the BC Curriculum (preferred)

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Must clear a criminal record check
