Position: Glenmary School Educational Assistant Role

Support enriching educational experiences at Glenmary School in Peace River, Alberta, as a Full-Time Educational Assistant. Starting August 27, 2026, you will engage with students to enhance their learning journey.

In this probationary position, candidates will assist teachers in addressing the diverse needs of all students. A strong understanding of Indigenous culture is essential to foster relationships with Indigenous students, supporting their academic and emotional growth. This role is pivotal in creating an inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with learning, behavioral, and physical challenges

• Attend to personal and health care needs of students

• Help improve academic support and engage in individualized learning

• Provide assistance to English Language Learners in the classroom

• Undertake other Educational Assistant duties as necessary

Requirements:

• Teacher Assistant Diploma or relevant education preferred

• Excellent communication and confidentiality skills

• Capability to support various individualized learning programs

• Proficient in educational technologies

• Successful completion of Criminal and Intervention Checks
