This posting is for a Temporary Full‑Time (1.0 FTE) Educational Assistant Position at Unity Public School, commencing August 26, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027. Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. The successful applicant will support core subject areas in both small groups and in the classroom. Basic knowledge of Grade 5‑9 math concepts and the ability to independently facilitate teacher‑planned lessons/activities is an asset.
Qualifications- Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience
- Post‑secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Early Childhood, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an asset
- genuinely appreciate working with children and demonstrate patience, show empathy, and help make learning fun;
- possess strong planning and organizational skills while showing initiative;
- have excellent communication skills and a willingness to work independently;
- be positive, enthusiastic and thrive in a team environment.
