Position: High Needs Support Educational Assistant
Location: Kananaskis Country (Claresholm)

Engage as a Specialist Educational Assistant for High Needs Support with the Stoney Education Authority. Provide individualized, trauma-informed assistance for students with exceptional needs in a culturally respectful environment.

The Stoney Education Authority seeks a Specialist Educational Assistant focused on high needs support.

Your role will include one-on-one assistance, implementing Individualized Program Plans (IPPs), and working closely with families and teachers. Emphasizing Stoney Nakoda language and values, you'll foster safe and inclusive classrooms while addressing behavioral and medical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer one-on-one and small group support for students

• Assist with behavior regulation and medical needs

• Implement Individualized Program Plans and support plans

• Facilitate personal care with dignity for students

• Collaborate with teachers and families for student success

Requirements:

• High school diploma required

• Experience with high-needs students essential

• Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check

• Reliable transportation necessary

• Commitment to learning Stoney Nakoda traditions
