Location: West Kootenays (Rossland)
Position
J. V. Humphries Elementary‑Secondary School in Kaslo, B.C. is looking for a 0.2 FTE (term) Kindergarten/Grade 1 classroom teacher from September 1 ‑ December 19 2026. The position is one day per week and is due to a leave.
Experienced teachers who collaborate as part of a teaching team are preferred.
Salary
Salary Range: $68,589 – $114,833 per year, in accordance with the current SD8–Kootenay Lake / KLTF Collective Agreement. Placement on the salary grid is based on qualifications and years of teaching experience as evaluated by the BC Teacher Qualification Service (TQS).
Qualifications
Certified in British Columbia with a Professional Teaching Certificate, or eligible for certification by the start date of the assignment.
Experience as a Kindergarten/Grade 1 classroom teacher.
Ability to collaborate within a teaching team.
