Elevate science education as a full-time temporary Science Teacher for Grades 7-12 at Elkford Secondary School in Elkford, BC. Engage students in Science and Environmental Science from September 2026 to June 2027.

This teaching position is a 1.0 FTE contract, ideal for candidates holding a BC Teacher Certification and having experience in secondary-level Science. You'll be responsible for teaching Science 7, 8, 9, and Environmental Science 12, fully engaged in on-site learning and instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Science for Grades 7, 8, 9, and Environmental Science 12

• Engage students in hands-on scientific learning

• Maintain classroom management and a positive learning environment

• Collaborate with staff for curriculum development

• Participate in professional development opportunities

Requirements:

• Degree or formal training in Secondary Science education

• Experience in teaching Science at the secondary level

• BC Teacher Certification preferred

• Compliance with the Criminal Records Review Act

• Must meet subject qualifications as outlined in the posting
