Position: Student Support Worker for Well-Being

Enhance student well-being through emotional and academic support as a Student Well-Being Worker. This role involves promoting positive engagement and mental health initiatives within the school community.

The Student Well-Being Worker plays a vital role in supporting the emotional, social, cultural, and academic well-being of students. This position focuses on early intervention, attendance engagement, and fostering connections between home and community services. Collaboration is key, as this role works closely with social counsellors, parents, and community programs to ensure students succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor student attendance and engagement at school

• Conduct individual and group support sessions

• Collaborate with educators on student progress

• Update parents on their child's academic performance

• Organize cultural and land-based community activities

Requirements:

• High school diploma with one year of experience

• Strong knowledge of youth education challenges

• Fluency in Oji-Cree is essential

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Valid driver’s license with a clean background check
