Position: Summer Secondary Special Education Teacher (Deep River)
Location: Renfrew County and Lanark Highlands Township (Deep River)

Be a part of educational change this summer as a Secondary Special Education Resource Teacher with Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board from June 29 to July 27, 2026.
This temporary SERT role is available at various summer school locations in Cobourg, Peterborough, and Bowmanville. You will be tasked with collaborating with subject teachers to provide specialized support, ensuring student needs are met through personalized instruction methods that encourage learning and skills development. Building rapport with students and parents is crucial to fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities   Design and implement individualized educational strategies
Conduct small group and individual teaching sessions
Work with teachers on curriculum adaptations
Foster communication channels with families and students
Monitor student engagement and progress
Requirements   Good Standing with Ontario College of Teachers
Special Education, Part 1 certification
Skilled in using online platforms like Google Classroom
Robust organizational and communication abilities
Valid police record check necessary
