Requirements
Bachelor of Education
Holds, or is eligible to obtain, an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
Desired Qualifications/Skills
Adherence to the Teaching Quality Standards.
Experience with Grade 4 Program of Studies and Alberta Curriculum.
Student centered approach to instruction and strong relationship building skills.
Focused on differentiated instruction.
Ability to design, program, and implement instruction for neurodivergent students.
Effective organizational, interpersonal and classroom management skills.
Strong collaborative team player and a positive staff member.
Dedication to First Nations, Metis and Inuit Education and implementation of Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
Previous experience in establishing strong positive connection with students outside the classroom (i.e., clubs and teams).
Recognize the importance of promoting the school with parents and in the community.
Proven ability to build positive and collaborative relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth. Exhibit a strong work ethic.
Be a reflective practitioner who is flexible and adaptable.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a criminal record/vulnerable sector check which will be reviewed to ensure suitability of the candidate for the position.
All candidates must hold or be able to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate, have knowledge of curriculum and teaching experience at those levels/subject areas and demonstrated interpersonal and classroom management skills.
