K-8 Learning Commons Coordinator

Location: Behchokǫ̀

Lead and support educational initiatives as a Learning Commons Coordinator in a K-8 setting. This role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and the integration of biblical principles in library classes.

The successful candidate will be OCT certified and possess a minimum of five years of teaching experience. With a background in school libraries and volunteer coordination, you will enrich students’ learning through library classes and reading and writing enrichment sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach library classes and enrich literacy skills

• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers

• Lead, train, and manage volunteers effectively

• Maintain and organize library resources for students

• Implement curriculum with a biblical worldview

Requirements:

• OCT certification or equivalent credentials

• Minimum of five years teaching experience preferred

• Experience in a school library setting

• Strong understanding of K-8 curriculum requirements

• Teacher Librarian Additional Qualification Part 1 preferred
