The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Part-Time (0.50 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant at T.
A. Norris Middle School. This position will commence on August 27, 2026 and will continue until June 29, 2027. The successful candidate will provide one-on-one support to students.
The school serves students from grades 5-8 and offers a high-quality core academic program consisting of English, French Immersion, French Second Language, and exploratory courses such as Art, Drama, Home Economics, and Band.
Responsibilities- Provide one‑on‑one support to students.
- Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience and/or training working with students in a school setting.
- Ability to work with children with varied ages, skill levels, needs and abilities.
- Willingness to be part of a learning team, take direction and follow programs without direct supervision.
- Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities on individual learning and complex learning needs.
- Ability to be flexible to the changing classroom environment and individual child needs.
- Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers.
- Knowledge of the French language is considered an asset.
- Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check (record check must be less than six (6) months old to the date of application).
$22.59 to $28.02 per hour, dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement.
