Position: Full-Time Gifted Teacher - Grade 7/8
Location: Ontario Centre (Queensville)

Elevate education at the Simcoe County District School Board as a Full-Time Gifted Teacher for Grade 7/8. This role focuses on instructing advanced learners and promoting equity in learning.

As a 1.0 FTE teacher, you'll guide gifted students through their curriculum while fostering their unique talents in a supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include creating engaging lesson plans, collaborating with staff, and ensuring a safe and inclusive classroom. Experience in teaching proven methods for advanced students will be essential for this impactful role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver specialized lesson plans for gifted students

• Assess student progress and adjust instruction methods accordingly

• Collaborate with other educators on curriculum standards

• Facilitate a safe and engaging classroom environment

• Prepare students for standardized assessments as required

Requirements:

• Five or more years of teaching experience with a permanent contract

• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to adapt lessons to varied learning styles

• Willingness to complete necessary training and background checks
