Position: Science Teacher for Grades 7-12
Location: Elkford

Teach and inspire young minds as a Science Teacher for Grades 7-12 at Elkford Secondary School, Elkford, BC. This full-time temporary role begins in September 2026 and runs until June 2027.

We're seeking a qualified educator with a degree or training in Secondary Science. Your responsibilities will include teaching Science across various grades and engaging students in Environmental Science. Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification, ensuring quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver curriculum for Science 7, 8, 9, and Environmental Science 12

• Foster an engaging and interactive classroom environment

• Develop lesson plans and assess student learning

• Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum improvement

• Attend and contribute to professional development sessions

Requirements:

• Valid BC Teacher Certification preferred

• Relevant degree and teaching experience in Science

• Commitment to the Criminal Records Review Act

• Specific qualifications as per subject and grade level

• Experience in secondary education is mandatory
