Early Childhood Educator

Position: Full-Time Early Childhood Educator Role
Location: Peterborough County and North Hastings County (Lakefield)

Shape the future at Curve Lake First Nation as a Registered Early Childhood Educator. This full-time position provides a unique opportunity to create a safe and educational atmosphere for young children and their families.

You will be part of a dedicated team at the O’Shkiigmong Early Learning Centre, responsible for fostering children's development and cultural awareness. This role requires the ability to plan and execute both individual and group activities while adhering to safety protocols and organizational policies. Engage with families and document children’s learning journeys in a warm and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize diverse daily activities for children

• Use various teaching methods to promote engagement

• Document educational experiences through portfolios

• Implement policies and procedures for health and safety

• Facilitate communication with families regarding children's progress

Requirements:

• ECE registration with the College of ECE’s

• Completion of an Early Childhood Education program

• Previous experience in early childhood settings

• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications

• Must submit a CPIC before employment starts
