Shape future educators with the Department of Educational Foundations as a Sessional Lecturer in Beauval, SK. Teach community-based courses focusing on Indigenous pedagogy and anti-oppressive education.
This role involves teaching two courses: EFDT 301.3 in Fall 2026 and EFDT 313.3 in Winter 2027. Successful candidates must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent, demonstrating expertise in Indigenous cultures and pedagogical methods. You will create engaging learning environments for up to 35 students each term.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach EFDT 301.3 and EFDT 313.3 courses
• Develop course materials and lesson plans
• Foster respectful and reciprocal learning experiences
• Engage with Indigenous ways of knowing
• Assess student performance and provide feedback
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Education or related field
• Familiarity with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit cultures
• Commitment to indigenization and decolonization of education
• Valid driver’s license for off-campus needs
• Relevant teaching or professional experience
