Term, Full-time Position:  Commencing approximately August 17, 2026 and ending approximately June 18, 2027

Education
Second Class Power Engineering Certificate of Qualification;
First Class considered an asset.

Minimum of five years (full-time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in power engineering.

Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A commitment to safety, mentorship, and lifelong learning.

Previous teaching or training experience is a plus.

Note:

Two years of your training will be counted towards the educational requirements and cannot be included as part of your occupational experience.

Compensation & Benefits
Faculty salaries range from approximately $78,771 to $104,267 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

Deliver theoretical and hands‑on practical shop training and classroom instruction.

Share real‑life industry knowledge and troubleshooting experience.

Mentor and support students entering the trade.

Help students build the skills employers are looking for.

Promote and ensure health and safety practices are consistently followed.

Work collaboratively with fellow instructors and industry partners.

Stay current with evolving technology and industry practices.

Participate in student advising, curriculum development, program promotion, committee work, and work placement support.

Proof of a valid Red Seal certification is required prior to start date.

Faculty must complete a part‑time adult education program during the probationary period.

Must provide at least three recent occupational references and official transcripts.
