Elkford Secondary School is hiring a full-time Science Teacher for Grades 11-12 in Elkford, BC. This temporary contract covers classes in Chemistry, Physics, and other sciences.

The contract lasts from September 8, 2026, until June 25, 2027, offering a salary range of $70,392 to $119,187. Candidates must have BC teacher certification and experience in teaching secondary science.

Your role will involve engaging students through innovative lesson plans and assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Chemistry 11 & 12 along with Physics 11 & 12

• Instruct Life Sciences 11 and Environmental Science 11

• Create effective lesson plans aligned with curriculum

• Monitor and assess student progress continuously

• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

• BC teacher certification preferred

• Relevant degree and experience in secondary science

• Necessary qualifications to be provided in applications

• Positive record in teaching Grades 11-12 science

• Compliance with the Criminal Records Review Act
