Kyah Wiget Education Society seeks a passionate educational instructor for Grades 8-12 specializing in Science, Math, and Outdoor Education. Engage students through hands-on and culturally relevant programming at Skyzeh Habi Yikh.

This full-time role encourages innovative teaching and learning, with a focus on inquiry-based and land-based experiences. Your expertise will support diverse learners while creating an inclusive environment that reflects community values. Collaborate with staff, maintain effective learning spaces, and engage actively with students and families in their educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging and differentiated instruction in core subjects

• Facilitate outdoor and experiential learning opportunities

• Foster positive relationships with students and families

• Collaborate on school-wide programming initiatives

• Maintain comprehensive records and assessments

Requirements:

• Experienced with Indigenous populations and their educational needs

• BC Teaching Certificate and bachelor's degree required

• Skilled in multi-grade and differentiated instruction

• Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively

• Capability for participating in outdoor educational activities
