Located in the stunning Tsilhqot’in Territory of BC, Tl’etinqox School is seeking a dedicated School Counsellor for K–12 students. This role emphasizes holistic, trauma-informed counselling while fostering relationships with families and local Elders. Your primary mission is to ensure every student feels safe and supported both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance on social, emotional, and academic challenges

• Integrate cultural healing practices into support strategies

• Address student crises using trauma-informed care

• Collaborate with staff to develop student support plans

• Facilitate staff training in conflict resolution and emotional learning

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in School Counselling or related field

• Valid BC Teaching Certificate

• Understanding of First Nations culture and systemic impacts

• Experience in Indigenous educational settings is preferred

• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
