Position: Long Term Occasional Teacher - Grade 6/7
Location: Whitby Region (Gormley)

Engage students as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher in Grade 6/7 with the Durham District School Board. Create an inclusive environment while delivering impactful lessons that inspire learning.

In this role, you will design and implement engaging curriculum-aligned lessons tailored for Grade 6/7 students. Your focus will be on monitoring progress and adapting your teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Collaboration with colleagues and the community is paramount to enhancing educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop engaging curriculum-based lessons for Grade 6/7

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Collaborate with staff, parents, and community members

• Adapt teaching methods to suit varied learning styles

Requirements:

• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing

• Required subject qualifications: J/I

• Current and valid Criminal Background Check

• Ability to handle diverse classroom needs
