Qualifications: A graduate degree in Indigenous Studies, or relevant and equivalent work experience. Primary research in Indigenous Studies is an asset. Demonstrable experience in teaching and speaking Cree. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to engaging with Indigenous ways of knowing and to fostering respectful, reciprocal learning environments. They must also possess knowledge and understanding of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit culture as well as indigenization and the decolonization of pedagogy to uplift and support Indigenous students.

Qualifications: PhD or MA in Indigenous Studies or equivalent with a demonstrated background in foundational historical, political, social, economic, cultural and contemporary determinants of health. Previous experience teaching Indigenous Studies preferred. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to engaging with Indigenous ways of knowing and to fostering respectful, reciprocal learning environments. They must also possess knowledge and understanding of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit culture as well as indigenization and the decolonization of pedagogy to uplift and support Indigenous students.

A valid driver’s license is required for any off campus courses. Appointment periods include additional days in recognition of preparation and marking time required. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrolment.
