12 hours per week or .33 FTE available at our Atikameg Campus:
Community Access Point Assistant
Salary: $22.79 to $26.95 per hour

Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalentExperience working with the public is requiredExperience with Microsoft Office suite is requiredA clean vulnerable sector criminal record check prior to commencementA valid Class 5 driver’s licenseA combination of education, training and experience may be consideredAssets:
Experience with teleconference, video equipment, and learning management systems (i.e. teams, Desire to Learn (D2L), Brightspace)Experience working in educational environmentsNature and Scope of Work:
Reporting to the Chair, Community Learning Supports & Corrections Education, is responsible for providing various services to students, staff, and the community including but not limited to course delivery, site management, student recruitment, marketing, and learning support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Services
Customer serviceProvide reception (phone and walk-in)Handle inquiriesProvide information on College programsProvide information on Continuing Education & Corporate TrainingCounselling or education planning referralsSchedule appointments for:Educational planningCareer planningFundingDisseminate course/career informationMaintain educational/career resource librariesFacilitate application formsContact applicants as neededApplicant inquiry/follow upApplication and fee collectionRetention Services
Orient students to services and facilityCoach students in time management skillsCoach students in study skillsProvide library assistanceProvide students assistance for computer use:How to access e-mailHow to access online classesHow to use Moodle for course work and accessing informationProvide Internet assistance and information on proper internet usageAssist students in navigating the Northern Lakes College web siteArrange appropriate learning environmentsRefer students to instructor(s) for remediation or learning consultant if requiredRecruitment Services
