Drive literacy success as an Educational Assistant at Ecole Saint Paul Elementary School, assisting students in overcoming academic delays in a collaborative setting.

Fort McMurray Catholic Schools seeks a dedicated individual for a full-time Educational Assistant position specializing in grades 1-6 literacy. Responsibilities include planning educational activities, engaging with students one-on-one, and implementing literacy and numeracy strategies as guided by teachers and specialists. You will actively support students and contribute to their educational progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement literacy and numeracy interventions for students

• Collaborate with teachers and a multidisciplinary team

• Create daily reading, writing, or numeracy plans

• Monitor effectiveness of literacy strategies in use

• Maintain student progress and intervention records

Requirements:

• Educational Assistant Certification or relevant Bachelor’s Degree

• Division Literacy Certification preferred

• Relevant Literacy experience prioritized

• Proficient in using educational technology

• Strong communication with students and parents
