Seasonal Program Instructor at Municipality of Clarington

Location: West Northumberland County (Millbrook)

Elevate community engagement as a Seasonal Program Instructor with the Municipality of Clarington. Take charge of recreational activities and staff supervision starting Fall 2026.

This position within the Community Services Division focuses on delivering quality recreational programs from September 2026 through June 2027. The ideal candidate will have extensive program leadership experience and a passion for working with youth. Utilize your communication skills and organizational expertise to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Recreation Supervisor in program implementation

• Supervise and mentor part-time staff and volunteers

• Conduct mandatory training sessions effectively

• Monitor daily program activities at various sites

• Record attendance and conduct follow-up inquiries

Requirements:

• Minimum 16 years of age with a responsible attitude

• Three years in recreation settings with youth

• Two years of supervisory experience

• Strong written and verbal communication

• First Aid and CPR certification preferred
