KPRDSB, serving diverse southeastern Ontario communities, seeks a dedicated Educational Assistant specializing in Sign Language. In this role, you will provide crucial instructional support to students’ academic and personal needs, ensuring their success. Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement effective strategies for enhancing communication and social skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students based on therapists' strategies

• Assist with personal care and mobility needs

• Implement Student Safety Plans under guidance

• Monitor health requirements and administer medication

• Promote development of behavioral and communication skills

Requirements:

• Two-year college diploma in Educational Assistant Program

• Six months to one year of related experience

• Level 2 Sign Language certification

• Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification

• Police records check for employment
