Position: Career Counsellor at College of the North Atlantic
Location: Southeastern Avalon Peninsula (Ferryland)

Join the College of the North Atlantic as a Career Counsellor at the Carbonear Campus. Focus on delivering impactful guidance and support for student academic and personal development.

In this role, you will provide counseling services tailored to meet individual, group, and career-related needs. Collaborate with faculty to advocate for students while managing conflict resolution and mediation. Various duties include conducting assessments, leading job search training, and contributing to campus events and activities to enrich student life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions

• Administer assessments and provide interpretative support

• Advocate for students alongside faculty and administration

• Conduct job search and study skills workshops

• Involve in organizing student affairs and recreational programs

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Counseling, Education, or related field

• Relevant work experience in counseling settings preferred

• Strong knowledge of assessment tools and methodologies

• Effective mediation and communication skills

• Commitment to student-oriented initiatives and support
