This full-time, permanent role requires you to enrich the educational journey for Innu Nation’s students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. You’ll integrate cultural values into lessons, guide students in their social development, and collaborate with parents and staff. Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of child development are essential for creating a supportive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver inclusive physical education lessons

• Integrate Innu culture and land-based learning

• Establish a safe and positive classroom environment

• Conduct assessments and maintain student records

• Collaborate with parents and instructional staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education and valid teaching certificate

• Clearance of Criminal Record Check

• Teaching experience in primary or elementary education

• Knowledge of Innu culture and fluency in Innu‑Aimun is an asset

• Ability to work effectively in northern or Indigenous communities
