Inclusion Aide

School year, approx. 20 hours weekly

Building Principal, Inclusion Coordinator

Inclusion Aides, Classroom Teachers

The Inclusion Aide will support students requiring inclusion services at the high school.

• Support students receiving inclusion support
• Support teachers with accommodations and modifications for students who receive inclusion services
• Assist teachers in modifying assignments and assessments
• Support students in general education and small group classes
  
  Take notes in general education classes
• Meet regularly with classroom teachers to identify which learning targets are essential for the students they support and how the students will be assessed on these learning targets
• Document the learning targets students are working on for each unit
• Collect data on student progress
• Support students in study halls
• Lead small chapel group
• Assist students with organizational skills and study habits
• Meet regularly with the Inclusion Coordinator
• Participate in district and department-led professional development
• Maintain a chauffeur’s license

• Michigan Teaching Certificate preferred but not required
