S2627-11 Librarian – Ardmore School

We are seeking a part-time (0.4615 FTE) Librarian to commence at the start of the  school year. The role is approximately 3 hours each day and involves managing the operation of the School Library under the supervision of School Administration. The successful applicant will work with both students and staff. An energetic, personable, team-oriented individual is required.

Ardmore School is located in the Hamlet of Ardmore with approximately 110 students in Kindergarten to Grade 8. The school’s mission is to grow learning and achieve together while building lifelong learners through support and diversity.

• Basic or advanced certificate in a recognized Post-Secondary Librarian Program
• Experience in the Athena, or a related library system
• Knowledge of collection management, cataloging and document delivery
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• A familiarity with computers, current technology and internet research skills
• The ability to work with minimal supervision

• Previous experience working in a school library
