Centre Supervisor (RECE Required)
Angus Valley Montessori Vaughan
Angus Valley Montessori Vaughan is seeking an experienced, organized, and passionate Centre Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our licensed Montessori school. Serving children from Infant through School Age across 10 classrooms, we are committed to providing exceptional Montessori education in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

Position Overview
As the Centre Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operation of the centre, ensuring compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) while leading a team of educators to deliver high-quality programming and exceptional care. You will play a key role in supporting staff, building strong family relationships, and ensuring the centre operates efficiently and professionally.
Qualifications Required
Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a licensed child care setting
Thorough knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Ontario Regulation 137/15, and Ministry licensing requirements
Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certification
Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and computer skills
Preferred
Montessori Diploma (AMI, AMS, MACTE or equivalent)
Experience in a Montessori school
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support educators while fostering a collaborative and positive workplace culture.
Recruit, onboard, coach, evaluate, and support staff development.
Oversee the daily operation of all classrooms, ensuring high-quality programming and compliance with Montessori and CCEYA standards.
Ensure compliance with all Ministry of Education, Public Health, Fire Code, Occupational Health & Safety, and licensing requirements.
Prepare for Ministry inspections, licensing renewals, policy reviews, and implement corrective action plans when required.
Maintain licensing records, required documentation, staff files, and centre policies.
Oversee health and safety practices, emergency procedures, medication administration, serious occurrences, and incident reporting.
Support the administration and compliance of the CWELCC program, including documentation and reporting requirements.
Oversee enrolment, staffing, scheduling, classroom capacity, supplies, purchasing, and general centre operations.
Build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners while responding professionally to questions and concerns.
Promote continuous quality improvement and remain current with changes to legislation and best practices.
