Position: Educational Assistant - 1.0 FTE Role
Location: Timiskaming North (Iroquois Falls A)

Become an Educational Assistant with District School Board Ontario North East, supporting students’ diverse learning needs in a full-time role until June 25, 2027. Your dedication will bridge academic gaps.

This full-time position (1.0 FTE, 32.5 hours/week) focuses on providing tailored support for students, especially those with special education needs. You'll work closely with students, facilitating their social, emotional, and academic growth in the classroom. This position draws on your skills in educational support to enable optimal learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students in classroom learning activities

• Adapt learning resources based on individual needs

• Collaborate with educational staff for student success

• Monitor and encourage student participation

• Provide emotional and behavioral support when necessary

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary education preferred

• Proven experience working with special needs students

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Ability to adapt to various classroom environments

• Passion for supporting diverse learners
