Educational Assistant at St. Martha School

Location: Northeastern Alberta (Fort Chipewyan)

Empower elementary students as an Educational Assistant tha, Fort McMurray Catholic Schools. In this vital role, you will encourage their growth in cognition and communication among grades 1-6.

You will be working 25-31 hours weekly to support teachers in implementing educational programs. This position requires collaboration with various specialists and the ability to manage student behavior effectively, all while providing a nurturing environment where students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the implementation of specialized strategies

• Support classroom activities and ensure positive student interactions

• Adapt lessons for students with differing needs

• Facilitate learning with technology and adaptive aids

• Participate actively in the Positive Behaviour Plan

Requirements:

• Educational Assistant Certificate or Diploma

• Experience working with diverse learning needs

• Physical capability to aid in student movement

• Commitment to student safety and well-being

• Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check
