Position: Full-Time Educational Assistant Role

Fort McMurray Catholic Schools is providing an exciting opportunity for an Educational Assistant dedicated to supporting Grades 1-6. You will collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams, implementing educational strategies and managing behaviors. Effective communication and the ability to support students with diverse needs are essential to succeed in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement educational and behavior management strategies

• Work collaboratively with the teacher and specialists

• Support student physical engagement and curriculum adaptations

• Document student progress and safety measures

• Observe behaviors for positive educational outcomes

Requirements:

• Valid Educational Assistant Certificate or Diploma

• Capability to manage medical procedures, if needed

• Ability to swim levels 1 and 2 in 50 meters

• Physical strength to assist students as necessary

• Adhere to health and safety requirements as outlined
