Temporary Grade 3 Teacher Position

Location: Central Foothills (Sundre)

Aspen Heights Elementary School in Red Deer is hiring a temporary Grade 3 teacher. This position runs from September 9 to November 27, 2026, supporting the school's commitment to student success through relationship-building.

We are seeking a passionate educator to join our team at Red Deer Public Schools for this 1.0 FTE role. The ideal candidate will focus on developing meaningful connections with students, enhancing their educational experience in Grade
3. Candidates should be prepared to create inclusive learning environments that foster academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct Grade 3 students following educational standards

• Nurture student relationships to enhance engagement

• Assess and provide feedback on student performance

• Work collaboratively with fellow educators

• Ensure classroom inclusivity and engagement

Requirements:

• Valid Alberta teaching certification

• Relevant educational degree

• Experience with grade-level curriculum preferred

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Must obtain a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
