The Province of British Columbia has created a new incentive to support several school districts in filling postings across the province. This position is eligible for a pre-employment signing bonus of $10,000.00 in return for a successful candidate accepting a job offer for this position. This signing bonus is available for current British Columbia teaching certificate holders and for out of province teachers who are eligible for and pursuing a British Columbia teaching certificate.

Required Qualifications And Experience- Hold, or be qualified for, a valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate
- Successful K-12 teacher training and practicum or evaluation documentation
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Experience with adapting, and modifying, curriculum to meet the needs of students
- Ability to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with diverse needs
- Strong classroom management skills
- Experience working with students who display a variety of behaviours
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Willingness to work and implement school initiatives and goals
- Capacity to work independently and in collaboration with a team
- Committed to individualized and group instruction utilizing a variety of effective strategies and techniques
- Experience teaching in a multiage group setting
- Engages in fair, student focused assessment practices consistent with the BC curriculum and reporting order, and reflects on evidence of learning to guide instruction
