Position: Education Assistant and Bus Attendant Role
Location: Northern British Columbia (Fort Nelson)

Join Charlie Lake Elementary School as a Certified Education Assistant and Bus Attendant. This role focuses on supporting students with diverse educational needs through a collaborative team environment.

In this position, you will assist in delivering targeted educational programs under the direction of teachers and staff. Your responsibilities include direct support for special needs and learning-disabled students, ensuring their safety and comfort in both classroom and bus settings. Additionally, you will help monitor student progress and implement behavior management strategies as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide educational support based on teacher guidance

• Supervise students during various activities

• Manage behavior support programs effectively

• Assist with personal care and health requirements

• Foster positive student interactions and independence

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent education

• Certified Education Assistant Certificate required

• First Aid and CPI certification preferred

• Proven ability to build positive relationships

• Flexibility and ability to work independently
