Position: UCDSB Educational Assistant for Special Needs
Location: Athens

Contribute to student success at the Upper Canada District School Board as an Educational Assistant. Focus on providing essential support to students with exceptional needs in a structured learning environment.

As an Educational Assistant, you will collaborate with educational staff to deliver targeted programs for students with a range of disabilities. This role requires flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively. Your experience in educational support will directly impact the well-being of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the creation and monitoring of student IEPs

• Support therapeutic and behavioral management programs

• Administer medication under school guidelines

• Help with personal care activities in a safe manner

• Facilitate communication for students with special needs

Requirements:

• Secondary school diploma with relevant college diploma

• Experience with children having learning disabilities

• Certification in Behavior Management Systems is advantageous

• Strong organizational and conflict resolution skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively
