Be a key educator as a Contract Teacher at Elkford Secondary School, specializing in Alternative Education for Grades 7-12. The focus is on direct, on-site instruction.

This temporary full-time contract begins on September 8, 2026, lasting until June 25, 2027. Applicants must hold a degree or significant teaching experience applicable to secondary education and alternative education settings. Engage with students in their educational journeys in a meaningful way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer alternative education curriculum for Grades 7-12

• Foster a caring and inclusive learning environment

• Work collaboratively within the educational team

• Manage student assessments and progress tracking

• Communicate consistently with families regarding student growth

Requirements:

• BC Teacher Certification is preferred

• Must have relevant education degree or training

• Experience in teaching alternative education required

• Clear through the Criminal Records Review Act

• Enthusiasm for enhancing students’ learning experiences
