Position: Youth Enrichment Specialist for Chess
Location: Dover

Drive positive youth experiences at the Dover YMCA as a part-time Youth Enrichment Specialist focusing on chess instruction. Engage children and teens in creative and educational activities that champion personal growth.

As a key member of our program team, you'll design and implement innovative chess enrichment programs aimed at enhancing participants’ skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Your role is crucial in adapting activities to the needs of diverse age groups, ensuring an inclusive and engaging experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design engaging chess curriculum and lesson plans

• Provide instruction and supervision during enrichment sessions

• Adapt activities based on participant feedback

• Track participant engagement and monitor program success

• Encourage leadership and creativity through various initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum high-school diploma or equivalent

• Preferred 1-3 years in education or program development

• Strong chess knowledge with teaching ability for all ages

• Experience with diverse age demographics is beneficial

• Multi-lingual capabilities are an asset
