Position: Educational Assistant Role at Northwest Catholic Board
Location: Rainy River Region (Emo)

Become an Interim Replacement Educational Assistant with THE NORTHWEST CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD. Commencing August 31, 2026, this position focuses on aiding special education students in Our Lady of the Way School.

In this 30-hour-per-week role, you will assist teachers in student support, handle modifications for educational activities, and directly address the physical needs of designated students. Your communication and organizational skills will be essential in fostering a positive educational environment, as you'll collaborate across various staff roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modify educational programs in partnership with teachers

• Assist with personal hygiene and grooming of students

• Supervise students during recess and field trips

• Communicate effectively with education professionals

• Help develop and assess behavior management programs

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification

• 1-2 years of related experience

• Educational Assistant course completion

• Knowledge of special education approaches

• Ability to manage challenging behaviors
