Position: Mobile Crane Safety Instructor Role
Location: Central Yukon (Dawson City)

Take on the challenge of being a Mobile Crane Safety Instructor at Yukon University in Whitehorse, where you'll provide crucial training in crane operations and industrial safety. This engaging role spans from December 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027, with the potential for extension.

As an instructor, you will deliver both theoretical and practical training ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations. Focus on essential courses such as Fall Protection and Rigging, while evaluating student performance and safety practices. Your contributions aim to instill a strong culture of safety and professionalism in all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct classroom instruction for crane and safety programs

• Instruct various courses on workplace safety topics

• Ensure all training meets WorkSafeBC standards

• Develop Supervision Plans for provisional operators

• Assess student competency and maintain detailed records

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence with a good record

• B.C. Certificate of Qualification (Red Seal) as a Mobile Crane Operator

• 8-10 years' incident-free experience in crane operations

• Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations

• Commitment to mentorship and professional growth
