Position: Part Time 3-D Sculpture Teacher
Location: Mill Bay

Empower creativity as a Part-Time 3-D Sculpture and Woodworking Teacher at Brentwood College School in Mill Bay. Inspire high school students in a hands-on environment focused on artistic expression.

This position offers 9 hours per week for the  academic year. You will teach students in Grades 9-12 essential skills in 3-D sculpture and woodworking, fostering their ability to explore functional and sculptural forms. Set within a scenic oceanfront campus, you’ll create an engaging studio space where students hone their craft with tools and techniques like joinery and mold-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct high school students in 3-D sculpture and woodworking

• Create a safe and engaging learning environment

• Mentor students in hands-on design and creative expression

• Supervise tool operation and shop safety practices

• Guide students through various techniques including carving and casting

Requirements:

• Certified to teach sculpture and woodworking in BC

• Experience teaching high school students

• Proficiency in shop safety and tool operation

• Criminal Record Check clearance

• Authorized to work in Canada
