Location: Sherwood Park Central
Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta, serving the education needs of approximately 17,750 students in 43 schools. EIPS is recruiting a interim, full-time (1.0 FTE) Division 1 (Grade
2) Teacher at Ardrossan Elementary.
Ardrossan Elementary serves approximately 600 students in kindergarten to Grade 6, with 29 teaching staff and 11 support staff. The school is located in Ardrossan, AB, approximately 10 minutes east of Sherwood Park, AB.
Ardrossan Elementary is a dual-track school offering an English program and a French Immersion program, both known for their strong emphasis on academics and leadership. Ardrossan Elementary community believes all students can succeed in our respectful, safe and caring learning environment. Ardrossan Elementary is also a designated Play and Learn at School (PALS) pre-kindergarten site within the Division.
Commencing September 21, 2026 and ending June 29, 2027

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education degree
Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Effective organization and classroom management skills
Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged
Excellent verbal and written skills
Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
