Position: Temporary Educational Assistant – Cochrane Location
Location: Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands

Empower students at Cochrane Public School as a Temporary Educational Assistant.

Your role will play a crucial part in supporting students' academic and emotional development.

This position is scheduled for full-time hours of 32.5 per week, available until December 1, 2026, or the return of the absent employee. You will facilitate student learning by accommodating their unique academic and behavioral needs in both integrated classrooms and specialized settings. Become an integral part of a team dedicated to fostering student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers by supporting students academically

• Encourage social skills development among students

• Ensure students meet their curriculum goals

• Help implement tailored educational strategies for diverse needs

• Collaborate with educational staff to enhance learning experiences

Requirements:

• Completion of post-secondary education in Educational Support

• Proven experience with special needs students in an educational setting

• Strong collaboration and communication abilities

• Background Check with vulnerable Sector Screening is required

• Dedication to equitable treatment within the educational field
