1.0 FTE TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT

SENIOR ENGLISH / TEACHER - LIBRARIAN

EFFECTIVE:
September 28, 2026 to January 31, 2027*

The successful candidate will:

• Have university qualifications and/or successful teaching experience in teaching English at a secondary level
• Have university qualification and/or successful teaching experience as a Teacher-Librarian and above listed subject areas
• Have experience in developing personalized learning plans with parents
• Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability and desire to work collaboratively with the school staff, parents and broader community
• Be sensitive to the unique needs of home school learners and families
• Be able to monitor and report on student progress using current assessment strategies, including formative and criterion referenced assessment
• Be able to communicate with other schools regarding accessing learning resources, learning opportunities (DL courses, field trips, extra-curricular activities, etc.)
• Be committed to working as a cooperative, collaborative member of a school wide instructional team attend meetings as required
• Be committed to consultation, parent conferences, and positive home/school/community liaison

SALARY: The starting annual salary for full-time teaching position ranges from $66,538 to $116,870, with placement on the range based on length of services and qualification in accordance with the collective agreement. Additionally, $3,500 annually as a Remote & Rural Allowance (Effective July 1, 2026) .
