Position: Part-Time Outreach Coordinator at Strong Start
Location: Port Renfrew

Lead the Strong Start Outreach Program at Port Renfrew Elementary School, enhancing early childhood education for local families. This part-time position prioritizes child development and community connections.

As the Outreach Coordinator, you will work 8 hours each month on Tuesday afternoons. Candidates must have a diploma in Early Childhood Education and the ECE BC Certificate to Practice. You'll be responsible for developing programs that align with the BC Early Learning Framework and engaging families in the learning process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver developmental programs for children aged infant/toddler and preschool

• Develop programs in accordance with the BC Early Learning Framework

• Foster connections among parents and caregivers

• Collaborate with the community to customize offerings

• Attend professional learning and meetings as needed

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education diploma or certificate

• Valid Child Safe First Aid Certificate

• Required Criminal Record Check prior to employment

• Experience with Indigenous communities

• Strong organization and communication skills
