Location: Fort St. James

Become a Casual Indigenous Education Advocate with School District No. 91 in Fort St. James. You’ll provide essential support to Indigenous students in their educational journey.

This casual role aids Indigenous students by delivering cultural and emotional support while serving as a positive role model. Collaborate with educators and engage with families to address the academic and emotional needs of students. Your work will be instrumental in promoting student pride and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer cultural, language, and emotional guidance

• Act as a positive Indigenous role model

• Collaborate with teachers to support student needs

• Communicate effectively with families and guardians

• Provide regular reports to the Indigenous Education Department

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)

• Two years of post-secondary studies with Indigenous focus

• Minimum 6 months of relevant experience

• Knowledge of local Indigenous communities

• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
