Location: Metcalfe

The Educational Assistant role is a comprehensive term job offering 35 hours per week from 7:50 am to 3:30 pm, where your contributions will help support students with disabilities. Work collaboratively with educators to implement strategies that promote academic success and assist with personal care tasks.
Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder and knowledge of behavior management practices will be beneficial. Ideal candidates should possess creativity and strong collaboration skills to nurture student growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate learning and support for special needs students
• Participate in individualized program development and implementation
• Assist students with physical care and active engagement
• Conduct observations and maintain behavior records
• Participate in outdoor supervision and support activities
Requirements:
• Diploma in Developmental Services or Child and Youth Worker
• 1-2 years’ experience in an educational or childcare setting
• First Aid certification/CPR Level C is advantageous
• Familiarity with assistive technology and curriculum
• Completion of crisis intervention training preferred
