This temporary position calls for an individual capable of providing physical and emotional support to students, fostering their learning environment. Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families is essential as you adapt to the individual needs of each student. The role demands flexibility, empathy, and strong communication skills to effectively work with different stakeholders in the educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with various behavioral and medical needs

• Carry out essential lifting and positioning tasks

• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and parents

• Provide support in both group and individual contexts

• Undertake additional duties as required

Requirements:

• Educational Assistant Diploma or equivalent education

• Mandatory Behaviour Management Systems certification

• Proven experience with special needs students preferred

• Autism Spectrum Disorder training an asset

• Must be capable of essential physical tasks
